HBC Corona Virus Update

Dear Heights Baptist Church Family,

We continue to make your health and safety a high priority and are staying aware of the current Coronavirus situation. We are following the protocols provided by the Bell County COVID19 Action Plan and it’s three stages, as well as all requirements of our local and State officials. We are now in stage 3 (please read the action plan below).

Yesterday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued an executive order that includes limiting social gatherings to no more than 10 in a group.  In light of this newest development, we are making the following changes in how we deliver the ministries of our church.

What we will NOT be doing

Holding any services on Sunday or Wednesday until restrictions or lifted by Governor Abbott.  This includes Sunday School, Sunday evening activities, Business meeting, and all Wednesday evening services to include Celebrate Recovery.

What we WILL be doing

Remembering that the church is NOT the building, but the members who make up the body, we want to be sure to stay connected and continue to minister to each other through:

Weekly call ministry to stay connected with you, inform you of any changes, and encourage you

Receive a message from our pastor, Billy Koinm each Saturday on the website http://www.heightsbc.org/

Update the HBC website as new information becomes available

Continue E-mail notices with scriptures and words of encouragement as well as regular announcements and prayer requests

Church offices will remain open on regular business hours

Continue to accept your faithful tithes and offerings during these unprecedented times via online giving http://www.heightsbc.org/, postal service, or personal delivery to the church during office hours

youth garage sale

Our Youth Garage Sale will be postponed to a later date. Hopefully we will have it sometime in May. Please stay in touch and we will give more details as they come in.

Don't forget that we are still taking donations if you have some items that we could use to sell and help our youth go to camp this summer.

Also, we are seeking volunteers to help run the sale. Speak to Jackie Graves if you can help.

Seeking Volunteers

We may need some volunteers to help with needs for our senior saints who don’t need to leave their home at this time.  If you are healthy nd would like to assist, please let the church office know.

business meeting

Since we are not able to have the March business meeting the financial statement will be posted on the bulletin board.
