At Heights Baptist Church, we believe that sharing the love of Christ can happen in simple, tangible ways. Our First Blessing Shoe Ministry gives us an opportunity to do just that by providing free shoes to children and teens in our community.

Each year, children from infants and toddlers through seniors in high school are invited to receive a new pair of shoes at no cost to their families. While a pair of shoes may seem like a simple gift, we believe it can be the beginning of a meaningful connection with a family and an opportunity to show them the love of Jesus.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our community through this ministry and look forward to seeing how God continues to use it to bless families right here in our area.

Our Shoe Ministry is made possible through our partnership with First Blessing, founded by Glenn and Deborah Lackey. They have a heart for helping churches share the love of Christ with families in their communities, believing that changing a life can start with a pair of shoes.

Through First Blessing, churches across Texas are equipped to host shoe ministry events that provide needed resources while creating opportunities to meet and connect with families they may not otherwise encounter.

We are thankful to partner with Glenn and Deborah and the First Blessing team as we serve families through our own local shoe ministry. What began with a simple pair of shoes becomes an opportunity for us to build relationships, serve our neighbors, and share the love of Christ.

Our 2026 First Blessing Shoe Ministry event has already taken place, but we are already looking forward to our next opportunity to serve!
